I grew up in a very tight-knit family, where there was always a lot going on. Oftentimes, you would catch me playing around in the woods or around the house, helping my mother with yard work. I lost my father at a young age, so my mom raised me, my older brother, and my older sister. Growing up as the youngest child, I learned rather quickly that nothing is free in life and that you have to respect your elders, be reliable, pay attention to detail, and work hard to get where you want to be.
Starting out, I would mow grass and clean gutters in the neighborhood. When I wasn't working, I was more than likely at the gym, off fishing, or hanging out with friends and family. My first real landscaping job was in North Raleigh, where I serviced 15-20 residential properties M-F. We also did a great amount of install work outside of their lawn care routes.
After high school, I was offered a job at a larger Commercial company where I was able to expand my knowledge and experience at better pay. While there I learned the ins and outs of how to work numerous pieces of heavy equipment, manage and oversee crews installing sod, plants, irrigation and hardscaping while loving every minute of it. One thing I love most about the industry I chose to stay in is that while constantly meeting new faces and serving my community, I can stay in great shape and never miss out on nice weather!
Furthermore, with over a decade of experience in the green industry, I have learned that you never stop learning, and there is never a dull day. The constant push to grow and become better has made me the person I am today. Growing up, I always had a lot of support from my family, so I know they are extremely proud of me and the milestones I have reached. After working for 3 larger companies, I decided to start my own, just like my Father & Grandfather had their own. Between the skills acquired over time, my love, and my ability to engage with just about anyone I cross paths with, It was inevitable that I created Healthy Roots Landscaping NC LLC.
My Grandpa helped me create the name, which makes it very special to me. We were founded in November of 2020 and our shop is located in Apex North Carolina. As the business continues to grow and grow, so have I.
Currently, I am hands-on with all projects we take on. I personally meet with all customers and oversee all projects. From the day we meet for an initial consultation, through the design process, to the completion of the project. I stay in contact with my clients to answer any and all questions or concerns.
